A full service virtual security information and event management (SIEM) appliance has been introduced by LogLogic to leverage software from its recent 5.0 release.
Saying that it has 'all the features of LogLogic 5 in a virtual appliance', the MX Virtual delivers all the functionality of its hardware-based appliances via VMware technology. This announcement is the next stage in its relationship with VMware announced earlier this year.
Features of the new appliance include IT data collection, search and storage capabilities, as well as customisable alerts and reports covering identity and access management, user activity, network changes, security, business continuity and IT performance.
LogLogic CEO Guy Churchward said: “Virtualisation is a reality for many businesses that are looking to drive efficiencies throughout their organisations, or that have space-constrained or widely-distributed IT environments. We saw huge interest in our Virtual Tech Preview this June and were eager to get our full virtual appliance out to meet demand.
“With the release of LogLogic's MX Virtual, we enable companies to lower their operational costs, while leveraging the full power of our IT data management technology anywhere in the world.”
