CogniSafe has introduced measures to counter fraud in online gambling.
The PitBoss endpoint solution has the ability to prevent cheating through the use of online bots and advisors or software cheats, and has been successfully deployed for online gaming clients.
CogniSafe claimed that it can be tailored to fit the needs of each individual customer. The system can also be updated to recognise new forms of cheating.
Shmuel Konforty, chief technical officer at CogniSafe, explained that PitBoss uses algorithms and player behaviour models to determine threats to the system. It can monitor patterns in the game logic, on how the player plays as well as on the operator side simultaneously.
The data is analysed in order to recognise any potential threats, to determine whether they are already known or even a mutation of an existing threat as well as new threats or cheats altogether.
Konforty said: “This is based on semantec technology that is used mainly in detection that gives the ability to monitor. It tries to understand the event and it can be 100 per cent normal, but if you detect a threat it can be diagnosed. It will look for programmes that show a threat in the system that works in real time.”
