Speakers confirmed for RSA Conference Europe and SC World Congress Conference and Expo

The full keynote line-up for this year's RSA Conference Europe has been confirmed.

The full keynote line-up for this year's RSA Conference Europe has been confirmed.

The conference, taking place from 20 -22 October 2009 at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel, will see speakers from the FBI and Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) joining rogue trader Nick Leeson.

Keith Mularski, supervisory special agent at the FBI cyber initiative and resource fusion unit and Andy Auld, head of Intelligence, e-Crime department at SOCA, will present a joint keynote discussing the inner workings of the global underground cyber economy and how international law enforcement teams come together to combat cybercriminals and emerging threats.

Other keynote speakers include: Herbert Thompson, chief security strategist at People Security; Art Coviello, executive vice president at EMC and president of RSA; and Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO of Qualys.

Linda Lynch, RSA Conference Europe manager, said: “Our programme includes some of the most thought-provoking technology leaders as keynote speakers. We're also offering a diverse set of sessions to our delegates focusing on issues that range from how to mitigate cyber security threats, to the best way to implement secure processes and lifecycles in a recession.”

Meanwhile Coviello and Joel McFarland, senior manager of product management at Cisco, have been confirmed as speakers at the SC World Congress Conference and Expo.

The event, which is scheduled for 13-14 October at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, will examine topics ranging from data theft and compliance to establishing partnerships between government and the private sector.
