Starting this Thursday at 11am BST with a session on the key mobile threats of 2012, hosted by SC's Dan Raywood with a presentation by Jitender Arora, UK CISO at GE Capital, the Virtual Summit will be held over two days; it includes eight 45-minute webcasts over the course of the event.
Subjects include: legal and policy issues around mobile device management and use; frontline buy-in; encryption; and a specific webcast on tablets. Each day will have four webcasts, hosted by the SC Magazine team and including speakers such as Dave Whitlegg, ISO at Capita, Paul Boniface, ISO at LMAX, and David Wilde, CIO at Essex County Council.
During and between the webcasts, visitors can enter the SC "virtual world", which will offer a networking area with exhibitors including Accellion, Tripwire, West Coast Labs and SC Insight.
Delegates will be able to choose an avatar and speak to other visitors in the networking area, or move directly to the auditorium to hear live webcasts that will be broadcast throughout the day.
Dan Raywood, online news editor at SC Magazine UK, said: “After the success of last year's event, we have moved this to two days this year and given it a single topic of mobile security – one of the key areas in information and IT security of the moment and the past two years.”
