Sourcefire has announced the addition of twelve new channel partners globally.
The new partners, who are located in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Benelux and the Nordics, will drive new sales in previously untapped areas.
Anthony Perridge, EMEA channel director for Sourcefire, claimed that expanding in these markets was an exciting and progressive milestone for the company.
Perridge said: “The new signings enhance our partner portfolio. In addition to these new partners, we are continuing our focus on other key areas of Europe such as the UK, France and Germany.
“Our recent activity in these growth regions is part of our strategic map for the future ensuring we always provide local assistance for our products. Sourcefire has also increased the availability of its instructor-led training courses for both its 3D System and Snort technologies across Europe in order to support our European customer base.”
Sourcefire's VP worldwide channel sales, Chris Peterson, said: “We are expanding in areas and not in numbers, we make sure they are consultants and we are now bringing support and education, not by Sourcefire but by channel partners in the time zone and language. This is all about serving the customer better and putting together a programme that shows that they are certified on Sourcefire.”
Computerlinks is a new distributor for Sourcefire in Finland and the Baltics. Jukka Lahdelma, managing director for Computerlinks Finland, said: “We want to help our customers implement cost efficient solutions to fit their needs using proven market leading systems. Sourcefire offers an unrivalled support network to allow us to service business needs. We looked into other IPS vendors but at every stage Sourcefire stood out."
