Dr James Cash has joined the board of directors at Veracode.

The former Emeritus James E. Robison professor of business administration at Harvard University Business School, Cash also serves on the board of directors at Microsoft, Wal-Mart, General Electric and Chubb.

Cash's appointment follows Chris Reisig, who joined this month as senior vice president for sales and business development from Kiva Systems where he led the company's worldwide sales and business development teams.

Matt Moynahan, CEO of Veracode, said: “Jim has been a leader in the world of information technology for over three decades and has unique insight into the business environment from his work with Fortune 50 companies. We are excited to have Jim join us and his expertise in business and distinguished academic research in information technology will be a major asset to Veracode.”

Cash said: “Being on the Veracode board of directors offers me a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing company that is solving a critical business problem which affects enterprises and government agencies throughout the world – insecure software.

“I plan to contribute in many ways, but most specifically will work to convey the perspectives and challenges faced by CIOs at large, geographically dispersed companies.”
