If you've read one of our roundtables one of the interminably aggravating questions of CISOs far and wide is how exactly to get the CEO to listen. It is perhaps fortunate then, that SC made it down to an event designed to teach CEOs exactly how to respond to a breach.
Hosted by the Cyber Rescue Alliance, a non-profit designed to combatting the IT threats which face the whole of society, not to mention the heavily targeted business community, the day aimed to teach CEOs the lessons that other, less fortunate executives had not.
The room may have been filled with relative novices in the art of remediating a breach, but thankfully enough, the speakers podium was not. Kevin Duffey, managing director of the Alliance, hosted the event, presenting a series of pros including, among others, Dr Sam De Silva, IT specialist and a partner at law firm Nabarro ; JF Cecillon, former CEO of EMI International and now an independent consultant on cyber; John Unsworth, CEO of the Mayor Of London's Digital Security Centre; Commander Chris Greany, the UK Police's national co-ordinator for economic crime
SC got to speak to a handful of the event's distinguished speakers.
